Erik consistently ensures the estate planning process is simple and he prides himself in empowering clients to make informed decisions. This dedication to educating clients results in an estate plan that is unique to them and enables them to achieve their goals. He is well equipped to handle estate plans ranging from basic to complex and is one of those attorneys who is never satisfied with the status quo, but is always looking for ways to improve his skills and add value to his clients’ lives. Erik is also experienced in preparing specialized estate planning instruments, such as Special Needs Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, and Retirement Trusts.
Prior to joining Huber Law Group in 2018, Erik spent 14 years practicing estate planning and family law in Sacramento County. During this time, he litigated, negotiated, and mediated the gamut of family law cases. With this unique perspective as a family law and estate attorney, he can often spot issues otherwise overlooked.
Erik received his Juris Doctorate from Oak Brook College of Law; prior to graduating he worked as a legislative analyst for a non-profit organization and volunteered as a youth counselor. He is a member of the Trusts & Estates section of the California Lawyers Association. Additionally, he participates in the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of his local church. Erik is happily married and has three young sons. When he’s not working on home improvement projects, he loves to explore with his family and enjoy the variety of activities the Sacramento region offers.
